Chrissy brightened my day considerably when I read her post on this beautiful fruit. Go to her post on
chrissyforemanc.blogspot.comFriday, may 15th .It brought back all kinds of memories, starting with the markets in Crete where I first really noticed them for the first time. The held me in a kind of rapture as I examined their composition, the various colours and subtle aroma. Over some years I how their great mythological and cultural
value had almost transcended the fact of them being a wonderful food source of such obvious sensuous enjoyment. Thanks for bringing all that back Chrissy!
