Percolator Gallery: exhibition by Dr Roger Dawson

Opening on Saturday 23rd of May is an exhibition by Roger Dawson :
Lost and Found Women I.
Percolator Gallery is at 134 Latrobe Terrace and the opening is from 6pm to 8pm.    RSVP: 17 May to everyonedeservesart@gmail.com and all enquiries!
A friend, Melissa Cloake, approached me to pass on this invite. I am not familiar with this artist's work but he is known to Melissa and this is the perfect opportunity to congratulate Melissa on her amazing production "from Pollyanna to Piaf" which I had the pleasure of attending last week at the Metro Arts Centre in Brisbane. Melissa wrote the songs and story for her own theatrical performance of this one woman show based (loosely or not?) around her own life story.  It was engaging from the start. I sat quite still taking in this journey and the authenticity of truthfulness, courage and catharsis which was the result of this unexpected journey. Humour and quirkiness played a part...it was a great evening
of theatre....even if Melissa is her own toughest critic and wishes to see it still as a work in progress.
Well done Melissa ...an extraordinary acheivement!
