These exquisite works are from a post on www.bloesem.blogs.com on 12.5.09 featuring the work of Nienke Sybrandy entitled "Bladerportretten=Leave Portraits" . Each time a leaf falls from a plant she engraves a small face in it, dates it and adds it to the collection that is like a family tree for the plant. A fascinating undertaking.
