Oh my goodness! How fantastic is that. Well congratulations on your new studio. It looks fabulous. I just love your work and seeing so many pieces of it on your walls like that is so inspiring.
And what a clever post...the mystery tour was very fun.
Congrats on the wonderful new studio, Sophie. It'll be great to have room to spread out, and be close to the Gardens. Here's to lots of good work to come!
Hi Sophie I really enjoyed your mystery tour. What a great opportunity Helena has opeded up for you. Paddington is such a hive of activity, art, antiques, shopping and great food. I feel you have a slice of the old Bohemia, right at your finger tips, especially based straight under the art gallery. I really enjoyed seeing all your work displayed and all your bits and bobs. It's quite delicious for the artist eye. I enjoy seeing how other people work and their space. Maybe when I get back I could come and take some great pictures of you black and white and colour in your studio as a way of documenting your time their. It would be fun also to do a video/interview/documnetary. Now your based in the thick of it. You and your work will be accessible to lots of people, maybe an open studio? Take care Sophie and yes to your question to me about the blog post. I will look forward to seeing it. all the best Candyxx
hello everyone... thanks you for kind wishes... running out the door - keen to get to the studio today after a few chores are done! back later to respond properly.. Sx
congratulations sophie! it looks like such a nice space and i was very glad to hear that the double doors lead onto a nice porch and views. love to see all the work up together - chatting to each other. and what do i see??????? TARTANS! cant wait to see where that leads to! xoxo
Anther day spent at the studio... I am so tired tonight I have no energy to sit and respond fully to comments even though Id like to - so back soon... nice to hear from you all! S
Thank you Mary! After my 4th day at the studio I am feeling much more at home there and it does feel a little like heaven. Coming home at 8pm tonight I put some jazz on quite loudly in my car and drove along more upbeat than I have been in ages... ...the space to work and the luxury of not needing to be concerned where things are is something I'd forgotten about. My workspace at home was so chock-a-block painting had become an ordeal - not a pleasure. Teaching is something I have done formally and informally... on a small scale and in a business-like context and for public education - (secondary school...in the 80s for 6 years and in the 2000's for 6 or so years. Im planning to start classes for adults (my main preoccupation) and kids.... very soon! Nice to have you visit... see you, Sophie
