Siobhan McBride is an artist working in New York whom I discovered last year and wrote to at the time to say I really liked her paintings. She was happy for me to post images from her portfolio here...something i've been meaning to do for a while! A quote taken from the artist's Bio:
"I have come to think of my paintings as views of a place where magic reveals itself differently than it does in this world....descriptions of secret experiences, embarassing feelings, passages from books I like, and things caught in the corner of my eye..." I'm always amazed at all the different artistic styles out there, there is so much and still there is more... I like Siobhan's work as well, filled with unique colors and interesting shapes. So much freedom in her expression!

The net only intensifies the sense of the diversity of seeing and expression in form dont you find? I love the capacity to follow artists from hugely different origins, age, background, location...and see what is coming out of a place!
