enchanting...
I could not resist posting these tonight...
from a blog called "life is beautiful"
I know they are too large... but... you need to see them like this... you will see when you visit his blog! Now to write to the photographer... I must away!
ciao...
You know what is amazing in these photos, i recognized all of the plants in them, because they are also present in my country, 14 hours of difference and on a totally different line of the himisphere. Wow to mother nature.
I love your images and their bright wonderful colour. There are times when capturing motion and having it be abstract, is more interesting than a perfect picture that is sharp and full of detail.
I also love your Queen Anne's Lace.
I am so sorry not to have seen earlier your call for artists, as I have been raising trees from seeds.
So lovely to hear from you... Last night very late I found this weblog 'life is beautiful" and i thought - this is very special... when the clock struck midnight here it was my birthday... and at that moment i found these images and a blog daring to assert that "life is beautiful" I cant tell you how much that meant to me... birthdays are so strange.... in one way what does it matter ...presents...so what?
What I so adored was that someone had worked out how to take the most elemental of images that made these stalks of grass and spent seed heads and the sun transmit something to me rare and precious. ...some moment of fresh seeing ... something fleeting yet eternal...I could feel it. A sense of wonder . ...I am not a huge lover of photography for the reason it often leaves me cold... I know that's odd... so many clever and brilliant photographers in this world. Intelletually they win me... I can appreciate them on that level... but to be taken somewhere - Mmm....thats rarer!
Glorious...that word so resonates here Robyn! S
Cat...yes...beautiful! Glad you went to see... S
Bruno... from Portugal... I realised you perhaps thought these were my photos...I only wish...Jeff, who took these photographs lives in France... hence you recognised the plants.. glad you liked them though... and thanks for the other lovely message...be in touch! S
Egmont, precious to have your company... fleeting as it is at this time... Like Bruno you have given me too much credit....wish I could say they were mine! I have written you with an idea about the seeds mail-art now I know you have some thoughts re that...it was the book "the man who planted trees" that made me stop at your blog last year! Do you recall? Have a wonderful july 4th and best wishes to you and your family! Sophie

Dear Sophie,

These photos are just fantastic--not to mention, they remind me of summer and all its goodness. :)
