12 days in Aotearoa
2005 trip stayed with me a long time - as did these colours
guess who's the lucky girl leaving on a jet plane this week!
No wonder you were thinking about swimming! Have a great time - we look forward to hearing all about it! And it must feel great leaving behind a couple good weeks of painting and a show. Obviously you deserve this now!
Thank you Mlle Paradis... I'm not sure about water temps over there... I'm spending some time near Nelson which is a wonderful area I've heard much about... beautiful national parks nearby - places to kayak.. but how cold will the ocean be at this time of the year?.... I could spend months in NZ - even live there. I'm reminded that I didn't take those photos last week of where I was staying as I talked with you about...such wonderful houses...and hilly walks.... I really spent all the time painting and suddenly the stay was over! Well it may be quiet for the next 2 weeks here... I shall look forward to visiting you on my return! S x
Thanks Nicola, I suddenly got quite carried away with excitement about this trip late monday night... hence the post. It was triggered when I came across the image of this small abstract which I posted here and that brought all the memories of the 2005 trip flooding back and then flowed the anticipation of more inspiration to come. cheers, S
