a new journal... linen-bound and beautiful paper!
I wrote details when posting these pics at Facebook page: Homage to the Seed
started in Cairns ...recently worked on it until all pages were filled... strange ... felt like I was writing a book. I went to a meeting with my book-publishing grow recently and laughing said I was "pregnant, with book..." which I translated for them as meaning... somethings trying to get out and it sure feels like a book!
for days I have been putting together this program... and when not doing that painting... finishing this journal etc. Cooking up ideas and meeting people has been fun of late.
To read a larger , clear version of this program below click over to my website .. if in Brisbane... do come along .... good things happening at the gallery in Feb!
Gorgeous, gorgeous pages Sophie.
ReplyDeletethanks Ro...
ReplyDeleteknow you are a lovely maker of pages and books.. so appreciate your kind words.
Just had a wild time trying to change the header... don't know about you but I have not mastered the art of the sizing... and I always find it gets pretty hilarious what I put up so that anything half-way decent just has to stay!

Are you Wonderful! Every page is a delight...you are in a great zone and birthing a spectacular book. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary Anne...
ReplyDeletelovely words and so encouraging.
I have to laugh though... Ive designed real chapters and have serious text to write and this is off in another realm altogether... so the book??? all I can wonder is what will eventuate!
ciao,

Oh, your completed journal is beautiful Sophie! Such warm and vivid colours, and wonderful textures - I'd love to be able to get 'up close and personal' with it, to really see/feel its visual/tactile qualities...
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, and so good to have a subject that you can use in so many different ways

ReplyDeleteI love the book pages. Some of them so simple, yet still all about the idea of the seed.
